It had a great run and ended after an amazing nine season run. The town of Tree Hill is small, but not as quiet as one would think.

The main activity in this small town is basketball and everyone is gung ho for the local Ravens team. The focus of the first season is half- brothers Nathan and Lucas, who have a hate relationship from the word go. The only thing the two seem to have in common is that they share the same father, something that neither boy is entirely proud of, and a love for basketball.

In the first season the main focus is on Nathan and Luca’s major rivalry during the state basketball championship. Lesser storylines involve Nate and Lucas’ parents, and a budding relationship between Nate and a girl named Haley. One of the major storylines is Luca’s interest in Nate’s girlfriend which causes more and more animosity in the already feuding brothers. The cast is peppered with lesser characters that in later seasons play some major roles. One Tree Hill is an honest portrayal of teenage angst in a small town; the problems that they encounter can be found in any small town in America, in any of the many high schools. Nate and Lucas are firm enemies that may just have more in common than they think.
